What is their weekly schedule like? I know their pay week runs Thursday through Wednesday, so I'm wondering if there's the possibility for much overtime.

I worked for them in Alabama for a while, two years ago. In my opinion, they are a great company with good benefits. Hauling fuel is pretty easy, as long as you develop a system and do the same steps with every trip. Dropping the wrong product down the wrong hole is a massive mistake lol. In the area I worked we could do four loads a shift. They operate 24/7, so you could be on day or night shift. You will work five days a week and will have a set schedule. 12-hour shifts were what we had. As far as pay, in the area I worked, they paid the least compared to other companies. I believe I started at $19 with experience. So, good company, good trucks and good benefits offsets a bit of difference in pay, in my opinion. Hope this helps.

Five on two off, set schedule. 12-hour shifts, giving you 60 hours a week. At least that's how it was when I worked there two years ago.

I appreciate that. When were your days off and when were your working days?

I started on nights and my days off were Tue/Wed, which sucked. About two months after starting, a day shift guy quit and I was given his spot. I was then days and my days off were Sun/Mon. We only had four trucks at our location and the only guy off the full weekend was the lead driver.

I was hired by a contractor for Fedex Ground. Checks are always $1500-$1600 gross a week. So about $82,000 a year. Home daily and weekends off. I work 11-12 hours a day. My own sleeper cap and If I choose I can work 40 hour work weeks making 65-66K a year.

I opted to not go for Pilot because the recruiter wouldn’t take me because I’ve job hoped four times in my first year. It all actually worked out and I’m sure they’re a great company.

If I had made that much at FedEx Ground I would have never left!
I tried to get a raise from the NEW owner of the contract, but as a former hedge fund manager, he was all about making as much as he can, and not paying anyone else.
