My company fueled at Love's only until about 6 months ago, now we're expected to fuel at the Pilot down the street from the terminal on the way out. For a while they'd at least give you a $10 bonus if you hit like 500-750 gallons a month, now it's just 1 point per gallon. As much fuel as we get there you'd think we'd get a better deal, 65 trucks throughout the week all topping off there adds up. I used to be diamond at Love's every month and got 4x points, unlimited showers, free Tirepass, etc now I'm never hitting that or even close.
The best part is, half the time I'll look at my fuel receipt from Pilot and it tells me I either have 0.5, 1.5, or 2.5 shower credits. Be interesting to try redeeming half a shower lol -
I work for Pilot/Flying J. We do give great fuel discounts to companies that use us exclusively or have a contract. But I have to agree our points system is ridiculous. The whole penny a point and point per gallon seems a bit out dated. We have lost a lot of business to both TA and Loves because of the points system. Yes we do give lots of incentives with free food or discounted products, but unfortunately you can make more money fueling up at Loves.
Also, we have done a huge overhaul on our wifi services. I always connect as soon as i get to work, just because who really wants to use their data when they can get service for free. Our wifi is a lot faster and lets you download quicker, its never going to be ridiculously fast like a regular data nefwork but for wifi its an pretty good. Our outdoor wifi isnt as fast as our inside wifi but thats just because out in the lot you are further from the signal.
My husbands company fuels up at TA or Loves because of the points for drivers, but when he is sitting for his 10 hour break he parks at Pilots because of the wifi signal.STexan Thanks this. -
We used to not get all this points stuff.
We got a 3-5 cent cash back refund per gallon from the cashier. No points card or card refunds. CASH in hand to the driver. The amount varied in different parts of the country. Could eat pretty good while on the road with the refunds.
And diesell was only 29-35 cents a gallon then.
