That's OK if you're running a paper logbook and can speed-average everything with your calculator.
Or you work at a company that turns a blind eye toward logbook fudging.
I run an EOBR and NO WAY would I get off the turnpike as it would add alot of unnecessary time to my route.
Plus the troopers are not stupid.
They know that many times, its the low-ball outfits and O/O's that try to dodge tolls and scales.
So your odds of an inspection go up on the back roads.
On the pike...unless you're running junk...they pretty much leave you alone.
In addition to the faster transit times...I enjoy the amenities that the turnpike has to offer such as free showers, ample parking (in OH) and the travel plazas.
