I happen to love the Pilots. I know. Not popular. Buried get exactly what I need and its the cheapest around. The TA, Petro & Love's chains all jack up the prices, even the fast food prices. Not saying Pilot doesn't gouge, but nowhere near as bad as a TA. Also, for the most part, Pilots are pretty clean. You can't blame the truckstop when there are a lot of pigs trampling through there on a daily basis that have no respect for anything. Pilot & Flying J have always been decent to me. Plus Pilot is hooked up with Town Pump in Montana. Lots of worthless nicknacks in those plus some decent food in the cold deli. O
Pilot restaurant locations. Ha. Ha.

Pilot the cheapest, and the best. ROFLMAO

Dude, put the bong down and step back.
Then once you exhale, go read pilots faecbook page, and read all the BAD comments, look at some of the pictures of trashed lots, filthy bathrooms, and nothing but fast food.
And thier wifi sucks -
If the collective Pilot is the "worst" then I'm curious to know what national truckstop chain (of any real consequence from coast to coast) is "the best" according to this same individual.
-
I hate to say it but,, the biggest problem is the drivers who use these truck stops. Slobs and no respect for private property. How many bags of trash or piss bottles have you seen in a parking lot? They did not appear there on their own.
I'm no fan of Pilot but they do have some decent showers compared to some others.drvrtech77, joseph1135 and 48Packard Thank this. -
mustang
how come at "free rest areas" with the same drivers, you dont see garbage
no where near as much as you see at a pilot?
because the rest area cleans up, pilot doesnt
not the drivers are not slobs, i have seen some horrid examples, but lets be real
i have never seen a rest area as nasty as i have seen a pilotTRKRSHONEY Thanks this. -
When you go to any other national brand truckstop, look at the prices. I promise you Pilot is cheaper.
-
By the way, equating a truck stop to a rest area isn't fair. A rest area's attendant has one job: clean the rest area. A truck stop employee is charged with restocking product, cleaning showers, cleaning bathrooms, taking care of the lot, helping with cashier duties when it calls for it, the list is endless. And most are doing it for around $7 an hour. Sorry if after your fellow drivers trashed the hell out of the place before you got there and they had a chance to take care of it.
48Packard Thanks this. -
Saying Pilot is "cheap" is an understatement. Their product shows the result of that cheapness- it's piss poor.

It's not cheap. It's cheaper. Just like any c-store. It's like paying for the convenience.

You miss the point. They deliver a crap product.
