That is interesting. I would like to see that work. So the left rear of your load doesn't go over the line at any point?

Except that she was Ronnie's rear car. As I said, "No wrong answers, just trying to anticipate what the driver would need to proceed.

Well the rear would not on a right hand turn. The dolly under the rear of the beam is steerable.. As I am driving i also have a wireless remote to sterr the trailer with. So I am steering both the truck and trailer at the same time. If you watch the video you can see the dolly turning under the beam. The truck is what you have to worry about crossing into the turn lane but I could make it hugging the yellow line. It is really a pretty wide corner. Towards the end of the turn you can see the dolly straighten out under the beam. That is me controlling that.

First question you had me as lead. @Dirty Jeep Girl...if you were the front escort on this load and you came up on this turn, what kinds of things would @cnsper and his steer need to know?

Good to know. I had no idea. I appreciate the insight. This is why I ask questions. I don't drive and if the goal is to protect the public from itself and help the driver...best ask the drivers what is going to help them. I was shocked to learn all pilots need is an 8 hour driving course. I think more training would be beneficial.

It is not a driving course, it is all class room theory. Like driving, the real schooling begins on the road. Start out as a rear pilot and then move up from there. As a rear pilot you are mainly a blocker.

I'm thinking I might do a ride a long from someone already in the business also. I tend to learn as much as I can before jumping.

You do pretty well at steering. How much overhang on the rear of that beam?
