Heard a BANG, felt my truck shift, looked in right hand mirror and yelled.... HOLY ****ING #### !!! I was in the 2nd lane from the Right... paused to let drivers around me to react (BRAKE LIKE HELL more like it) and got my ### off to the shoulder.

THANK GOD I didn't hit anybody and no one crashed !

What would you do (if anything) different in the strapping/securing this load ?

Oh man. I would have had at least 2 straps belly wrapped on that. Maybe 3.

Man I would love to see a pic of it prior to that happening. How many metal bands did the shipper have on that? Was it all loaded together?

    Coffey and D.Tibbitt Thank this.

Yeah some belly wraps wouldve been helpful. It looks to me like the dunnage broke in half. That is one hell of a load shift . Nice save driver

I would of had ratchets pulling from both sides versus just one, alternating them...

I know that NOW. Rookie mistake. The way the pipe was banded (GREEN Plastic strapping, I "thought" the 2 layers were banded together. That is how the forklift operator delivered and loaded it on my truck. My boss quickly pointed out what I missed. Duh ! Chalk that one up to experience !

Coffey, D.Tibbitt and Mattflat362 Thank this.

Oh I see now....you had like 5,4,4,4 with dunnage in between? Yea for sure belly wrap would have prevented this.

    D.Tibbitt and SilverBulletBand Thank this.
