OMG, please don't use the term 'scientist' and refer to real world problems at the same time. 'Scientist' can't 'prove' anything because they do not have all the data, no one has ALL the data. They can theorize and try to support conjecture, but above that they are absolutely as clueless as you and I are about the past and the future of this planet.

Any time someone speaks in vague generalities, I can only presume that you are supplying your own conjecture(which is fine when stated as such.)

They're talking about extinction level super volcanoes. Sure it's a hazard, but as likely as a big asteroid strike. And about as much can be done about it. They stated it would take 700 Mt Saint Helen's level eruptions to equal mankind's output. Their main concern in the paper seems to be about acid raid from sulfur dioxide content.

The article I read was about the Volcano that blew in Iceland in 2010 or 2011.I cant find it and honestly do not have the patience to search right now.

This is a good takedown of the climate skeptic arguments around the Iceland volcano.
