    I had both windshields (2 part windshield) replaced a couple of months ago. Gradual pitting and such was making it hard to see in direct sunlight, nighttime rain, etc. Safelite Auto glass showed up at my house on my weekend off, replaced both sections while I took care of some chores around the house, and provided lifetime warranty, and my bill was $259. No need to call insurance. My deductible was higher than that.
