Me thinks your pretty unhappy, bet I'm not the only one who can tell that?
This is all stuff that all of us have had to deal with to one degree or another, you say truck is broke but your rolling right? So its not that serious unless a safety issue. If its a 3 day wait at the shop then put it in the shop when you take time off,and or accept that you will have to move in and out of a new one.

are you grumpy, bit##y or nasty when you ask for something? if so then thats why your only getting short nonsensical answers, weekend and after hrs people cover alot more trucks each,so solve as many problems as you can yourself, you do your job, follow your training call your mentor if you can or ask questions here for help.

aLso relax!(I know thats hard when under pressure) if you push to hard and aren't sure what to do mistakes can be made. if your under financial pressure might want to rethink this.Learn the job, know the job, keep the job. Then worry about miles.

Just something to think about, cause maybe your just blowing off steam,eh?

Well as soon as I drive away all the check engine lights come on. It has emission issues and no power. It gets bad gas mileage so I have never made a fuel stop. The ac doesn't work but I don't want to sit for four plus days. The truck is so weak it couldn't pull a tampoon out of a grease bucket. I only have 4 months experience or I would be gone. Also it is have smoke come out of the dash every so often. Smokes the cab out

No money issues. I should be well in the 4 thousand area on my Comdata this week. I think I am too nice when I ask for work to be performed on my truck that's why nothing is being done. Go talk the the service writer at edwadsville he's an ####### before you even say anything

The you will have to make a decision very soon, smoke in the cab is a seriouis safety issue! No power is a safety issue(cant get out of the way expedisiouly)Bad mileage is costing the company alot of money.

Are you communicating all this to your dm,road side etc? try this:(over the quallcom) I have a serious safety issue with this truck(and quote why)nicely, firmly and professionally.

and yes you will have to sit until fixed or you get moved to another truck.

Dude then relax, take the truck in and keep quoting safety, safety, safety.no financial pressure, just the pressure your putting on yourself then. Swift depends on you to take care of these issues. where are you near now? Give yourself a break, but get that truck fixed.once you qoute safety issues then its not on you, take it to a shop, they will get sick of paying you detention after a couple days (believe me)but you will have to take a different truck.Think upgrade!:biggrin_2559:

Because he is like me does not like to sit and wait for days just to even get into the shop. best to keep driving until you find an empty shop like I just seen in ALB New Mexico terminal.

Not a single truck in the shop. I could not believe what I was seeing.

Just seems irresponsible to me to NOT take a company truck in that needs service, minor things that you can take care of you should do yourself. Its not your 100,000 dollar piece of equipment,do you really want to take the blame if something worse happens because YOU wouldn't take it in?

But whatever floats your boat bb..............

No you like to sit and wait on mountains instead. :biggrin_25523: But seriously, there has to be a point where the cons outweigh the pros of being safe to drive your truck and have the luxury of looking for a shop, for instance a cabin filled with smoke might be a good indicator.
