limiting the truck to certain kinds of work is the problem. Some of the jobs they just call for a truck and I don't always know what they will be hauling.

That bed is an half rounded oxbody stampede series. I'm fairly certain the stampededs don't come with a liner normally but, that isn't to say it is not an option. The body is basically a rock body as stated but, it haul's everything including chunks of asphalt and concrete as big as truck tires. My company doesn't haul riprap any bigger then type 3/Gabion so I can't comment on that.

That truck is one of our smallest, it's a tandem Mack Granite. It may be set up as a rock truck but kind of sucks in that aspect because it is 24,400 empty. Rock usually pays by the ton so lighter is better and that is a heavy truck for a tandem. We mostly run trailers anyway so it does a lot of sitting these days.

Yeah, same way here in Colorado... tandems are pretty much the rule of law here, although there are a couple superdumps with the Bridgemaster on them. IIRC, Pioneer's T800s with the split gate rock tubs weighed something like 24,500, and the straight rock tubs without the split gates weighed about 1000 lbs. less.
