Plastic oil pan

    The money spent on a new oil pan is less than the money spent on a new engine. I wouldn't try a repair on one, and this is coming from someone that's done a lot of sketchy repairs on their own vehicles.

    The oil in said crack is your problem. So you drain the oil, blow air in the crack and you’re good to seal right? Well no because more oil just seeps in it. If you read on all those mechanic in a tube fixes it says must be clean and dry. The JB weld for water can be used wet but not with oil I don’t believe.

    This ^^^. You’ll never get the crack completely clean. I don’t even think brake kleen will do it. If it was steel you could burn it out with heat and braze it. But I’m thinking probably won’t work on a plastic oil pan. Best to start saving for a new one
