I've got that same medication too. It's effective, but I had to combine that with reduced alcohol and ice cream consumption lol.

Eating egg whites and throwing the yolk is like making orange juice and throwing the pulp. Most of them good stuff are in the yolk

Haven’t had a beer in a long while so isn’t a problem for me right now. No ice cream is a deal breaker..just ain’t gonna happen, lol.

That medication gives me some crazy vivid dreams..ones you remember clearly after you wake up. One night I was running with Al Pachino with the mob after us, lol.

While on the subject of meds. I take Xarelto but soon to be on aspirin. The cheapest cost anywhere was $600 a month, Costco, GoodRX..... Mark Cuban started some discount pharmacy and I read a few weeks ago that Eliquis (diff drug with same purpose as Xarelto) was about $400 per month there. Trump RX is $197 per month for Xarelto. But wait, a NP prescribed through The Canadian Medstore in FL. Generic was about $185 for 3 months including shipping, brand name $225 for 3 months. So about $60 and $70 per month respectively. Not covered by insurance but still saving $$$ without paying the deductible and copay.

That Mark Cuban pharmacy is used for my sacubitril/valspartin. Entresto is the name brand of that medication. My insurance stopped covering Entresto once the generic came out. Entresto is like 800 plus dollars for 90 days. Generic through Mark Cuban's pharmacy is no additional cost with inusrance and 29 bucks without. I guess it depends on the meds you take which pharmacy would be best. The only one I take that's still pricey is the Jardiance. You have a winner with the Canadian Medstore. 60 to 70 bucks monthly, you just live with it I suppose.

Why aspirin, as a blood thinner?

Aspirin can be bad news as it causes stomach bleeding. Make sure to get the coated aspirin and take it with food..

I take 2-81mg coated daily for blood thinner..Dr prescribed. Low blood oxygen levels can cause blood clots so that’s why I’m taking it.

The Indian NP (cardiology) with a doctorate, aka a licensed drug pusher/dealer said pharma meds for life. We parted ways. The vascular NP at first said 6 months at 20mg Xarelto, then next 6 at 10mg. and if no problems then aspirin at 1 yr. It was getting time to order the 10mg and said at 6 months take 325mg aspirin once a day.
On the pharma website for Xarelto it states that their drug was superior to aspirin by about 2%. Even if that is accurate I'll take aspirin as the highest risk for another clot is in the first several months after the first one.
The pharma drugs can also cause bleeding. One woman told me her husband started on Eliquis and had to stop due to bleeding.
In the book The Great Cholesterol Myth Dr. Sinatra goes into good and bad foods. Green tea reduces fibrinogen which reduces the chance of clots and strokes.

Get a bottle of these. Just need 4 a day. The uncoated type like 325mg tablets are really only for emergencies..like chest pains..or in the event of a TIA. All us old drivers should have some in our truck just in case.
