You know, like when you get a ticket, or are caught rolling with your hours expired, running illegally, etc...
AND the FINES if that is not too much a loaded question....

Are you talking about csa points, or mvr points?

Try the bridge in Detroit. Seems like a popular choice.

Companies have CSA points. Drivers have PSP points. It's not uncommon for people to use "CSA points" for both companies and drivers. THEN there are penalty points assessed by states/cities for traffic violations and those points are recorded on your Motor Vehicle Report (MVR). MVR points can be "awarded" to CDL drivers and passenger car drivers. I believe the amount of fines depends on the location/state that assess the penalty. It's best to operate in a way to get no points, ever. Then you don't have to worry about keeping track the date and total of your points.

If a CDL holder is assessed PSP points for some violation of the FMCSA regulations those points are tripled the first year (day1-365), then only doubled for year 2, and only the assessed points for year 3. I believe it is possible for a CDL driver to receive points on his MVR that are not tripled, doubled, or singled

OK, I am getting the picture,
is there any websites that go into greater detail on the points..
how many can you get total points can you get before you have to drive off a bridge,
are there different points awarded for different violations, ETC.?

Good. I would like to add that psp/csa points will be assessed even with a warning and it is my understanding that in order for psp/csa points to be assessed an inspection must take place. If one were to get pulled over and ticketed by a non-dot leo, there will be no psp/csa points.

If anyone has evidence to the contrary, please share.

Correct , no csa points for the company and no psp points for the driver.
But there will be points attached to the drivers mvr for the violation.
How many of those points you can get get before your license gets suspended is different per state.

By the way to the OP points recieved for violations from an inspection will go both to your psp report and mvr and to the companies csa report.
PSP points take 3 yrs to fall off.

    Isn't this fun lol

So would your cdl get suspended or something if you got too many psp points? Or is that just something companies check in a prehire?
