No, We dont go and buy loads pre built and wrapped. We bod on lanes and commodity, Then they fill in the amount of loads they have available based on the customers order. If the cusotmer changes his order. the load changes. We get paid the same Whether or not they load it full or short, we bid on miles, commodity and season.
Yes it does, anything can happen on the road to and from work. And from what IM told you all spend your lives in the truck, when are you driving to and from work if your work is in your truck? So pardon me, yes it does.
Oh dont get me wrong, I would want to live in a state where it snows other than MN. Im saying the dangers are everywhere no matter where you drive. the roads are snowy half the year. The other half they are wroking on fixing the damnage form the ice on the road.
No!!Do you read any of the feed or just jump in randomly. I said a billion times, they shouldnt, but shouldnt be compensated for being heavier than as well. You would have read that if you werent busy thinking of a a different way to spin my words around.
Easy fix. Like I said, list at a higher weight and then the carrier thinks they are getting a deal. You are selling a full TL so they shouldn't be trying to find a partial. But you did say you want them to reduce the rate if it's lighter.
Only if it is significantly lighter, just like carriers want me to pay when it is significantly heavier. We dont put in the weights. the sourcing guy does that when he gets the orders from the custy. Once they have the PO number and load, they can add and subtract as they see fit. It is all about the inventory management.
