Couple Fri ago watched a MBI truck fly into the kwik trip , stopped and threw onto reverse and proceeded to take the bumper off a Schneider truck, I would of swore he was in the hi side of reverse, his big hurry kinda backfired on him

GOAL wouldn't have helped this idiot. If you actually slow down and take the time to assess the situation, 9 times out of 10 you don't need GOAL.

    GOAL......

Another word for "lack of spatial recognition".....

Not saying you DON'T need to actually get out and look. But you should be more than able to realize, "this isn't going to work" before you even get into it.

Heck, I'm not even driving yet and this makes the most sense to me. Plus, it is a little more exercise, and from what I have seen, far too many drivers could seriously use those extra steps.

I pulled into the TA in Hurricane WV yesterday about noon. Was going around the parking lot to do a pull through parking spot. Had to wait for a Decker flatbed to park.

Hand in an empty flat hollered at me on the radio to go park my noisy reefer someplace else. I was so tempted to park it right next to his open window....

WITH my noisy ol' APU spewing right into his sleeper as well.

Same here. Easy to get into and I can afford to go for a bit of a walk.

Have you ever noticed that when you go to the back spots while someone is trying to find one close, you usually beat them into the building? I've had that happen a lot.

    all the swifty jokes

I am a swifty but im like a lot of you guys, I choose the further spots and I choose to walk which has helped me lose 37 lbs in the last 3 months. If I see a spot that looks tight then I leave it for someone else. I back into a spot when I need to but I goal when im unsure, have no backing accidents and I plan to keep it that way.

People are bad about racing towards the fuel islands as well, sometimes I think some of these drivers are going to run someone over walking across flying in at 30mph.

If I dont need the truck stop then I choose to stay away or get there early in the day to find myself a good safe spot to park, i dont choose end spots since I have seen too many fenders knocked out and I try to find a spot that leaves plenty of room on both sides of my truck and I make sure im nice and centered, it pisses me off when driver parks so close you cant even open your door all the way. Other times I choose rest areas, easy and quicker in and out and I see a lot less idiot accidents.
