please help (Freightliner Onguard)

is it that difficult to help a owner operator to get this issue fixed

 

need some advice on how to fix or disarmed the onguard it stopping me from using my cruise control i have to stop the truck then it work and then it stops and says radar blocked or align need some help

 

Turn your cruise on..
Then off _ on then set
If you use brake pedal to disengage cruise you can reset it by just hitting set again.
If you disengage cruise by the switch or button you'll have to start over.

 

By the way if your cruise is on when the onguard disables you have to switch off your cruise.
Then turn it on again and do the off/ on set.

 

i system turn the unit off and i cant get it back to work again when its in the red i have to stop the truck to reset it that taking too much off driver time for doing that

 

You don't have to stop. I had a onguard that disabled sometimes 2/3 times a day.
All you have to do when this happens is switch the cruise off then turn it back on.
Then turn it off and back on and hit set.
Onguard will remain disabled.
No need to stop and cycle key.

 

woa when you do that does it stay working do you get that codes about radar block or aligned
any word about moving the system from the truck

 

Yes, sometimes the screen would read...
Onguard disabled.
Sometimes radar blocked.
And yes sometimes the alignment message.
Also those codes that show up ( SPN and FMI ) make sure you take a photo of those while they are on the screen.
Onguard won't always hold them in the system.
The first time I took mine in for repairs the tech told me this and was unable to do anything with it at the time. He's the one that told me to take photos of the codes while they're on the screen.
That was the last time I even attempted to get it fixed because soon after that I found out how to make the cruise work even when onguard was disabled.

By the way since it's your truck you should just go to the steelership and have them reprogram and disable that garbage.

 

yes sir i will it is a piece of garbage i told the driver to do as you said and he call me back happy he said even though it was in the red it was working thank you very very much for that advice.
