IF you get a single state plate you might find yourself hemmed in by state borders unable to go interstate commerce.

I know I will be out of the subject with my question, but do you know what would I have to do when moving to another state (IL to TN) - I do have my own truck and my own IRP, IFTA,.. I know the very first thing would be to open a company in other state and transfer my assets from the old company, which is going to be my truck in this case. What happens with my current Illinois Apportioned identification card? How do I get Tennessee one? Do I have to pay again $1700 or I don't, because as I can see on Illinois card where it says that the vehicle is proportionally registered between Illinois and other states?
    Any advice would be appreciated.
