Well, 68 vehicles in company. White Mountain Trucking LLC
307 inspections two years until and prior to July 27th of this year.
Pretty much all of the trucks have been inspected 5 times more or less.
17 unsafe violations. out of 68 trucks.
23 Violations out of 68 vehicles of HOS in two years.
89 UNSAFE maintenance violations. Pretty much the whole fleet and a dozen or two more trucks besides. (THIS is FLAT UNACCEPTABLE.)
Unsafe Violations for driving.
What really gets me is way too many brake related violations in a semi truck.
There are DOZENS of citations written for the #### thing in some way with what I consider serious issues with brakes. It's almost like they don't give a ####. This report is pretty damning that way.
That is my bridge too far. I won't want to hire onto the company. -
I would never make such a decision solely based on a CSA snapshot.Cattleman84, Bean Jr., x1Heavy and 3 others Thank this.

Everyone of those inspections came out of Az. How do you know that this is not selective enforcement by 2 or 3 cops being horses butts. Trust me they do his!Mike2633, Bean Jr., x1Heavy and 1 other person Thank this.

Thanks guys. I agree that there's possibly more to it, but I also know a lot slips by out there. So they've either been unlucky or egregious. Would be driving in AZ.

I think one of the most valuable things for a rookie to take from these CSA snapshots is there are Trucks and Drivers catching violations everyday in the US across most all the states. Be ready. Have your paperwork ready, make sure ALL your permits are up to date. make sure all your truck and trailer's registration and tags are current. Do your pre/post inspection (regardless of what the FMCSA rules say about doing them) and lastly and probably the most important. I don't care if it is a mega carrier or Joes express out in nowhere USA. NEVER operate that rig on a public highway until YOU have looked at it and ALL is OK. EVEN if you are working for a company that has a bad history. Company refuses to put good equipment on the road QUIT, walk away. Don't argue, just walk. During my career I have had LOUD verbal exchanges with my FMs as well as roadside service. My truck is not ready to run I don't drive it. There is NO reason for a carriers bad CSA scores to effect you. When applying for a job look for this stuff. Not happy? walk away. I think @Chinatown will agree. Just too dang many carriers out there looking for drivers.

Moose the plates are out of Arizona, most of the inspections are in California and they passed.Mike2633, WesternPlains, Bean Jr. and 2 others Thank this.
-
Arizona, California, New Mexico are the 3 toughest states for enforcement. Welcome to the jungle.D.Tibbitt, WesternPlains, Oldironfan and 2 others Thank this.
-
Thank you Moose, I did just that (walked) a few weeks ago over something easy that they were capable of fixing but refused to. Shop guys standing around but "drive it like that for today" after I'd already written it up the day before. "I never look at that clipboard". Bye.
To me it's an insult to tell me they value safety then expect me to absorb their lapses with my license.
Thanks for the help reading it and useful info as always Dave.TheyCallMeDave, x1Heavy and Dave_in_AZ Thank this. -
It's one of the huge advantages of having your own truck. There are times when you're bleary eyed getting something taken care of, but you know you're good to go.
There's enough stress without having that defect on your mind as well.
