I've been wondering if I'm meant to be an O/O, been a 1099er for a long time, most of my career. i read about the control you guys have and it kills me to be where I am, experience-wise.
I want to go.
Please Help me read a CSA

Most of the tickets are from California that should say stop running there. They are probably a targeted company right now.
And what is the link to get that info I've never saw that much info when I go to company snapshot on FMCSA site?? -
It's amazing how many companies literally don't giving a flying #### about putting POS equipment on the road. I've stopped by to talk with about 6 carriers that are hiring the last few days, and I walked on all of them after checking out their equipment. I love it when you talk to a company, and they make it sound like roses and rainbows, then you ask to see the equipment (talking local work here) and they take you out and show you a straight up POS that is nothing more than a DOT magnet. You can keep it, hoss. On to the next one. There's enough bs to deal with driving one of these trucks, without riding down the highway in a machine that screams "PLEASE, COME INSPECT ME!"Dave_in_AZ, WesternPlains and x1Heavy Thank this.

Well, I hope you can get some rest tonight if at all possible. We all have good and bad days. When you have bad or difficult days, remember that good day recently to help tied you over. Im fixing to take what the doctor calls a drug holiday, no medicine except the arthritis one for 4 days this week. Im going to be a grumpy ####### by thursday and will work hard to not allow that mess to splash all over this place.Dave_in_AZ and TheyCallMeDave Thank this.

I hope that you can open a small memory box, put this motivation and good feelings of anticipation into that box to store it into your mind easily accessed when the oil pan has exploded from your destroyed engine that has lost all of it's oil under your hazmat load on I-81 south of Syracuse. (Side note, many new Interstates were built out of what I recall as US Highways such as I-86)Dave_in_AZ, Mike2633 and speedyk Thank this.

I don't have any OTR exp, been working local. Reading your posts makes it sound easy, and it probably is for you. Other than dealing with snow.
I go here... CSA Compliance, Safety, Accountability
Then scroll down and search for the company. When you get to the page for that company, look on the right side for the button that says Complete SMS Profile.
There's probably a better way, I just nose around like a bear until the treats pop out. :^)x1Heavy and Dave_in_AZ Thank this.
