I try to get into the FMCSA "news" release section at least 2 or 3 times a month. THIS one is a bit old. However there are some things I want to point out in that order. First I know a little bit about the background of this company. Second notice this aspect of that order.
I made bold what I wanted to discuss. Notice the cease order also applies to intrastate operations. The FMCSA does have regulatory authority on some intrastate operations. The next part I am not going to paste. however look at what this company was doing.x1Heavy Thanks this. -
If they are getting the majority of inspections in California it means this is where their traffic lanes and customers are. Not that easy to just up and leave.
-
Why work for a company that's got a bullseye painted on their hood? No thanks.x1Heavy Thanks this.

Why not? as for having targets on your truck right now today I bet at least 10 to 20 of the top 100 carriers in this country are somewhere in some state being targeted. Some carriers have inspections that are so bad their pre passes have been turned off. My comment was and I stand by it today. Stay legal. If your carrier refuses to do so get the heck out of there. Stop paying attention to what other drivers are doing. Running around like a chicken with it's head cut off just because some carrier has a high violation history is a bit dense. I'm also done with this topic.x1Heavy Thanks this.

The snow thread is poking fun at all the fair weather drivers.
There's always money to be made flip flop floundering around in the snow.
I know a guy in Phoenix that would hire you for a regional. -
They do run to SoCal, but it's by far not their only direction. Brings back what Dave said about CA being a tough state.
Dave, that snow post is when I began to suspect that the cats were covertly posting on your account. Whenever I've tended cats during snow season, they want the door opened, then they sit just inside and stare out at the snow. But they do not want the door closed, they want to sit there and look while the heating bill goes into quantum numbers. I think they're both mesmerized and scared by it. Or maybe it brings out their ancient snow leopard genetics.
My solution is to slowly and steadily close the door. To my surprise some have opted to go out in it for a while when the opening gets narrow.
Late yesterday got a call about a tentative local possibility that is pretty compelling. I might well ping you about that regional yet, thanks for the offer. -
That is an awesomely disgusting report to read. Thank you for that resource.

Yes it is. Take the time to really look in that history and you will get sick. One of the largest problems the FMCSA and state regulators have is this change a name and reopen up. The FMCSA has busted one of these carriers in Ohio I think it was back in July.speedyk Thanks this.
