First of all let me say, i apologize because i bet this question has been asked a million times but here goes.

I JUST got my permit.....what now??

I need to get my license but without proper training i cant get that. are there any companies you guys could recommend that offer training if you drive for them?? some pretty good companies?

Or maybe if i get my license, trough a training program i could find, a good place to start would be driving some sort of dump truck?? but where can i find those types of jobs?

Anyway i need some help, i would greatly appreciate it.

Millis Transfer is probably the best company that offers (or at least used to) training from ground zero (before you get your CDL). Schneider in the past helps students get their CDL I'm not sure if they do that currently I think Swift does (or did) that also. The downside is that there are strings attached. If a carrier pays your training you wind up working for a reduced rate for like two years and you are somewhat handcuffed to them until they get their money out of you.
If there is anyway you can pay (or borrow the money) for CDL school, you will have more freedom and choices as well as make better money once you do get your CDL. CDL schools generally charge $3000-4000 for 4-8 weeks of training and often it will be one of their instructors that administer the test. Once you have your CDL if you choose to go over the road you will need to select a carrier that accepts student drivers and they will train you for 3-6 more weeks before you go solo but you are not handcuffed to them like you would be if they paid for your pre-CDL training. I hope this helps.

Plus, depending on your situation there can be federal funding to pay for your school. I went through the dislocated workers center in my state and they are paying for the $3400 cost of driving school, plus they pay for daycare and reimburse me for my mileage to and from class. It's a very nice deal. The best part of it is, when I am done I will have a class A with all endorsements and am free to work anywhere that will accept me with no strings attached and no obligation to anyone.

you never said where you are. Try local community colleges or check out the "big evil" companies. But depending on where you live they might not hire you (because you are out of their area of operation). Local private truck driving schools are another option.
