How is everyone today?I have a felony that is 2yrs. old.I'm not a career criminal it was a wrong place wrong time situation.I have been driving since 2006 but its been locally. I have talked to alot of drivers and most of them tell me the same thing that i would have to get my own truck or find an o/o that would let me drive for them.So i'm just wondering if there is someone out there that would give me the chance to prove myself. If there is please let me know.I have 4 young children and i'm trying to get a career. Driving locally is ok but i know i can make more money otr.So if anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated. THANKS,GOD BLESS, and DRIVE SAFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you're making decent wages, my advice is to stay put... very few companies will hire with a felony so fresh. That, and the separation from family, and the additional money it takes to be on the road (meals, laundry, internet support, changing phone plan) most likely wouldn't offset the additional money you MIGHT make OTR.

OTR has some holes in it...you may sit all weekend waiting on a load, spending money to eat, and bringing home a goose egg.

Stay home with your 4 young children. You could pick up a 2nd job and still see your kids more than you would OTR. If you have a job with a recent felony in the midst of a recession, keep it.
