No, I didn't mean that. I meant the TN DMV. Can't USX help out of this? I'm surprised TN didn't verify the other licenses were cancelled before giving you the TN CDL. Someone goofed!
I believe the correct thing to do is go to the Tennessee DMV and surrender your other licenses to them. They, under the interstate compact, will notify CA and LA of that. You should have done that automatically. I am not a nun but I think you deserve your hand to be smacked with a ruler.
one last comment.this is NOT a matter that the TN DMV,nor any DMV,will handle over the phone. There may be a small fee involved and they will want that fee.Besides, they have no idea who you are over the phone and will not be apt to do anything over the phone. so you may as well ease on to the DMV and do it to it in person. Go ahead and get a fresh,up to date copy of your MVR while you are there.USX and whereever else you want to work will require it.besides,it proves you have no problems.
the less USX knows about his past license issues the better.besides,USX recruiters aren't going to go to the extremes for any potential hire when that potential hire should have everything lined up for a smooth transition into new employment.this is the point in time that Dj needs to show that competence i referenced earlier. he may not even want to drive for USX after he gets it straightened out. hey Dj.just get things up to date and then drive over to USX and hand them your newly updated license info-KEEP YOUR ORIGINAL MVR STATEMENT- and sit back and allow them to then go to work getting you employed. That alone will get you over the unemployed hump.YOU got it straight, not them.they can't. peace out(i'm throwing more signs out and putting on my grill and hanging the chain around my neck and all that dj stuff).shheeeeeeit man.let me axe yo dis.why yo let it get dis far man?yo yo man u shud a dun fixed dis on ur own man. okay.I just proved that i am not hip and am not a dj but Dj is and he will get'er dun.i mean done.
Figured since its their goof they wouldn't charge any fees, but then again we are talking about a government agency.
how do you have multiple licenses today? he may have but how did it happen?especially with a CDL? bizarre but it is part of trucking so ol' Dj might as well get accustomed to truck driving type stuff happening before he even drives.we all know how trucking goes when behind the wheel if you have any time at all behind the wheel. he or she,Dj anyway, can then start all of his truck driving escapades out with "you ain't gonna believe this but-"
Gone are the days when you can have a 26 different licenses in your pocket. They can also ding you if you owe tickets or other things when changing state licenses, until the ticket is paid, no license.
OK guys so I went down to the DMV and they say they cannot help me. They said the policy is to note in the system that I turned it in and that's it. I don't think everyone is getting this: I turned in my driver licensees to the states as I moved into them like you are suppose to do. Both states failed to cancel them. I guess they couldn't have known that I would get a CDL someday. Apparently they don't care if you have multiple valid driver's licenses. Ohh yeah and I'm not a DJ those are my initials.
OK so I got it handled. I had to call the CDL dept at each state that the license was valid in and they cleared it right up. The reason I was freaking out is because the first person at the DMV I talked to in CA said I had to mail in a form and it would take 6 weeks to process. I wish I had titled this thread different so other people with this problem could find this info because this was very frustrating to me.
Congratulations!! The main thing is that you got it handled and you did it yourself so you know what transpired and now you can go to TN DMV and get a fresh mvr and make copies and get the job wherever you decide. I was just typing junk when i was inferring that you were a DJ, Dj. i assumed that you would either bust a rap or set me straight. I won't axe you if you are headed to usx. also it matters not how you phrased it,you had drivers stepping up and assisting. someone will benefit from reading this thread.that is the cool aspect-
