    I was stationed at irwin back in the early 80's. We use to go to them places all the time. They had a blue grass festival at calico one time. I remember maggies mine there and the house built out of bottles.

    I'm sure at one point it was the only game in town, or at least the finest dining establishment in town.

    Okay maybe. But Needles doesn't sound nearly as hot. Besides, Snoopy talked about Needles in some of his old comic strips so it can't be that scary.

    YuP!
    He sure did.
    Spike, Snoopy's brother lives there.

    Maybe Desert Center would be more to your liking? Or Death Valley?
    East Covina? :biggrin_25525: :laughing-guffaw::laughing-guffaw::laughing-guffaw:

    Death Valley is beautiful, in the cool weather of course. Springtime it is in bloom, and there are so many unusual things to see there.

    Another horrible town name-Caliente. I added that to places that I would never want to live without even having to see it. Oh yeah, have I mentioned that I hate the heat?

    Well, if you don't like heat, it makes sense that "Caliente" wouldn't fit the bill.
