I did one of those when I first started driving; about 2am left that huge covering that's over the drive thru on the side of the bank, laying in the grass in front of the bank. No security cameras back then so I didn't get caught. One of those "don't ask, don't tell" incidents.

A few years ago I was backed in to a customer at the front of the building facing the highway around 3am. A Swifty pulled in and asked how to find the interstate. I told him and said I will watch for you because theres a car parked where you need to make a u-turn in the parking lot. He said, "I don't need no help!" He grabbed a couple of gears making the u-turn and the trunk of the car went under his trailer so far it smashed the rear window and damaged both rear doors on the car. No witnesses anywhere. He said, "what do I do now?" I said, "you're on private property, so no need to call the police." He said ,"what would you do.?" I said,"I'd hit the interstate with the hammer down and not look back. Let your conscience and career be your guide." Swifty put his career first and disappeared into the moonlight. When the customer and car owner showed up they were jabbering like crazy trying to figure out what happened. I just shrugged my shoulders. That was it! It was funny watching the car leave with the back half totaled out. They're probably still trying to figure that one out.

 

You are what's wrong with this industry. It will bite you in the ### some day. I hope it hurts really bad.
