I agree with Native Dancer. While the 4:84 ratio would work if the picture was taken from the side with the rig directly in front, the angle of this picture would make the blade appear smaller than it actually is. (There's a word for that effect, but I can't think of it at the moment!)

They're putting a about 300 wind turbines south of us. The blades on each are 150 feet in length. They are using the stretch flatbeds for them and they still hang over the back quite a ways.

A company called ATS hauls a lot of the wind farm parts.

Correct I used to work at Vientek in Santa Teresa.
We would unload Mitsubishi Blades coming in from Juarez Mexico to ATS trucks.
Oh and that blade is a 39 meter blade. It's a small one... -
I saw a bunch of loads like that going through TX a couple of months back.
I'd like to haul those loads if they paid well. -
They Do Pay Well Ron Mars. Very Well actually.

Finally able to track down an official response, 100 foot blade. The company that owns the windmills is sending a representative to the school for a presentation on the wind farm, which is pretty darn cool of them!
Thanks for all the help. -
