1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

Thnx to the gent that suggested mcelroy .they seem to be the front runner right now. They are a flat co. operate in the southeast decent hometime decent pay. I'm not sure I would have come across them on my own. Will give the recruiter a cal and see where we go from there. Still looking for suggestions though. I hate putting all my eggs in one basket the more otions the better. Again thnx for your responses they have been useful.

Coastal Transport is right there in Savannah, they are part of the Comcar family of companies which owns CCC, CTL, WSE, MCT. They are a southeast based flatbed carrier with weekend hometime, decent pay, and accept drivers considered as students. I worked for CCC when I first started driving 7 years ago, not too bad back then, I think CT is starting to pick back up. You also might look in to Shelton Trucking out of Altha, FL, they are right down the road from me, I couldn't tell you anything positive or negative about them, other than they are based in the panhandle of Florida and have an emphasis on the southeast.
