Oh no. I could never even hope to fill Shakey's shoes. I'm not sure why he left. I know he was hanging at that "other" site for a while, but I haven't been there in months, so don't know if he is still around or not. Don't even know if that "other" site is still up and running.

My need to be boring has not changed over the years. Dry humor, stupid questions & general non sense related to the trucking industry can be challenged by anyone with a key board. Knowing what your talking about is different. I will never know it all, but I know enough to know I will never know it all.

I just know everyone here does the best they can. I judge no one. I don't think anyone else here does either. Were imperfect creatures doing a very difficult job. We share, makes all of us stronger.

The best things in life are free. Trying to make a living is more of a challenge. I live in a little box that goes places. Nothing is ever the same. It's my office. Cali one day, Iowa another. Fla, Boston, don't matter. The memory's are some very few can share. How many people can say they have been in all 48 states more than once? Put it back in your pants their are 50 states. Have to feel sorry for people, their box don't move. The view don't change. Money is important, memories are better. I get paid to travel. Hard work, lots of rewards.

Richter , This really comes from the heart now , so think before you respond if you care too. Lots of Us on TTR have never done anything else BUT drive...lots of us are considerably educated people that have driven for awhile , lots of us are in our 2nd careers , lots of us have a few years in , lots of us have just a couple years behind the wheel , lots of us have just started....The main thing about this is we are ALL drivers , and that make us the hub of a very important wheel......our Country.....without us that wheel would cease to turn...along with that HUGE RESPONSIBILITY and PRIVILEGE , comes a huge amount of pride in what we do. Also lots , and lots , and lots , of (if you take your profession seriously ) STRESS.....we all deal with it differently too....in the beginning you made some really valid points...good ones too , but when you put forth that attitude and got all butt-hurt when the vets and others called you on it this thing snow-balled out of control

One thing you haven't learned yet is how to carry yourself as a professional , that begins with not only realizing that at any moment , any second , while you driving you are making life and death decisions , sometimes with-out even having time to realize it....It doesn't take lots of grey-matter to drive a truck , anyone almost can be trained/taught to do it , but it does take lots of time and experience to become a DRIVER....some never make it...one reason for that is they never took the time to think just how huge the responsibility each driver shoulders for every single solitary turn of the wheel. The term ROOKIE is really relative....at least to me anyhow...you ARE a rookie.....But so am I , so is Giggles (bless her heart) , so is Big DON , so is pattyj , so is saddletramp , and all the rest that have posted on this thread.....We never stop being rookies...never , not as long as God sees fit for us to be able to keep on trucking. That's where the difference lies my friend....in the knowledge that no matter how long your career happens to span , no matter how many years , no matter how many miles , None of us can make the claim we know more than the guy in the lane next to us , or the person that types the next post.

That's were maturity , and HUMILITY AND PROFESSIONALISM.... makes a driver.....you just aeren't quite there yet....
