I am curious, you mentioned that you do service at 45k. Do you change filters in between services? Reason that I ask is I have never seen a filter designed to past 15k. But I am old school, I use conventional Rotella 15 40 I do a PM every 12k and use Cat filters on my 3406E

I do filters at 20k and oil and filters at 40k with my MX13. The oil filters are designed similar to a bypass system and the book calls for 75k intervals if you gross less than 80k and get higher than 6 mpg.
