There are some out there, but most want at least one year.

i didn't see your location but if you live close to kingsport,tn. enterprise get's the most loads out of the local plant. superior is not good for that terminal.

It honestly takes only a day to learn to operate a pneumatic. Piece of cake. Some product is a little more tricky than others, but slow and steady wins the race. Alot of product I haul is limestone, open all the bays and let her go! Almost wish I got into pneumatics a long time ago.

The experience I'm saying (1+ year for most companies) is the driving experience, not necessarily tanker experience.

I agree you can learn how to operate the pneumatic tank within a day. I read about how to do it before applying to the company I am with now since I've only hauled dry-van. The guy that showed me the ropes gave me a few pointers and steps to unclog if it ever happens.

I've only hauled cement and flyash so far. Can't really open all three and let her go, but depending on what i'm unloading into I can go 1.5-2 and keep an eye on it. That flyash though... it makes a mess when they load it, to fluffy.

Good promotion for the company Burky its great to find out there are people out there in the Trucking industry that still care i worked for LW Miller about 6 years ago i also found them a really good company to deal with they had only 1 bad dispatcher who finally got dispatched (sacked) himself . If you like Pneumatic, Tanker of Reefer give them a call there based in SLC Ut and Logan UT

Experience - At least eighteen months over-the-road driving experience in all four seasons in a commercial semi-tractor. Experience should be recent (within last six months

They hired me right out of truck driving school. If you are interested pick up the phone, call a terminal manager and set up an interview. They just donated tractors to Greenville Tech in SC and hire students from that school. Lots of time the internet site requirements are there simply to weed out the sheep.

That said this probably isn't the best time to apply. Barely enough loads to go around as it is. It will pick up in the spring though. Superior is a good company if you can hook up with a terminal with enough accounts to keep you busy. If you need to run the system all the time its hit or miss.
