we hauled 129k max with a set of twin hoppers. The pay scale was all over the place, depending on the run my training pay was 2250-6months per trip. When I went on my own it went down to 170, but I could do 2 runs. I hated slip seating and I could sleep during the day in the hotel, because of the load housekeepers. So I left after not getting any sleep for 3 days and having a partner breaking the truck and leaving it for me to fix

Even though its not liquid it still a shift on you....take them curves carefully and watch the weight on your axles if you have to hit the breaks hard....lol its not funny but my father in law got a big fine he was 36000 on his drive axle because the load shifted...

I was hauling fly ash through Virginia one time, rolled across the scales on I81, was 1000 over on my drives. So I pull around back to slide my fifth wheel when the cop comes out to watch. After I finished he came over to thank me for doing it "the right way". Puzzled, I ask what he means. He told me that a day earlier, another bulk tanker had the same issue. The driver went out back, put it in reverse, got going and jammed the brakes. Problem was the poor sucker had his blow down valve open. Cop said fly ash went everywhere, and the driver was cited for littering, among other things.

How has your time at Comcar been? I just finished up orientation in Auburndale and i'm waiting for my hands on training to begin next week. I have over 15 years driving vans and flatbeds. Looking forward to running a pneumatic. Any help or pointers, both about CCC and the pneumatic, would be appteciated.
