Went into the oilfields in wyoming and there are bunchs of the thermos styles there, i think i like them cause they look beefier than pig type,,, they may or may not be beefier.

There are pig types that are way taller and pig types that are about same height as bottle type, I think this to get more clearance for the plumbing under the pig type trailers, but they are deffinatley way higher on the taller pig types

My t-600 is haveing a pto and blower pump installed it will cost between 8-10,000 dollars they had to reposition the air tanks and i may loose the double stack exhaust to get the pto drive line clearance, boy i hope not,,, sure is a spendy process!

The pad type looks like a pillow case around the bottom of the trailer, around the gate at the bottom looking at it from the inside. The air comes into the trailer through it. They work well.

The cone type will have 3 or so air tubes around the bottom of the trailer on the outside. Each hose leads to a cone inside the trailer. When the trailer is empty but air is flowing through the cones they wil buzz like a swarm of bee's. Cones are much slower.

I fergot to add. Don't pound on the trailer! I see guys beating on the trailer like it's a drum.

I pull a Trail King with 3 hoppers, and under normal unloading 12-15psi I unload with a final clean out in 35min for cement and 40-50 with ash.

I have been running air slides for about eleven years, I have hauled everything from antifreeze to 3in rock. I have also pulled every make brand and type of trailer and here is my suggestions to you.
Blower choice, go with a nine they are cheaper to buy and do the same job. Some trailers can't take the pressure of air a bigger blower tries to force through them. Also most bag houses can't accept more than about 10 lbs of pressure, some even require 5 or so pounds or you will blow the rivets. Stick to a nine and you will be happier.

Trailers, Beal and J&L are my favorite. They are a quality trailer. I can unload lime, fly ash or cement in roughly 40 min, that's hauling 80,000 lbs or more in two trailers.

Also when you plug up do just like the other guy said except close the valve to you're vibrators and run you're blower at an idle.

I pull a Trail King, and can unoad a 84,000 in 35 minutes one hopper at a time.. At our plants it is not easy, because they regulate how much pressure you can run at.. It takes on average 45min to 1hr...
