    I blame a lot this "myth" on
    1. the carriers safety department for telling drivers "this is how many points you got" when they should say "this is ho many points you saddled us up with" and
    2. There is a whole host of websites "claiming" the can clean up a drivers CSA score $XXX.XX.

    Thank you, thank you, thank you! This has been gone over here several times in the past, and some still believe drivers are assigned points. In addition to what you have correctly stated (Just add crashes), PSP and CSA are two entirely separate entities with two different objectives. Additionally only the driver and a potential employer (Not current employer or insurance companies) can obtain PSP information (At least that's the way it's supposed to be).
