Pokemon

I was at the Flying J in Granite City yesterday. I put my headphones on and started to walk...I crossed the street and proceeded took my phone out of my pocket to change the song while I walk. So im looking at my phone and a guy stops me and asks am I trying to find the pokemon or some crap...Im like LOL NO....he said he has been guarding this spot im in for 3 hours and getting points or something....

Next door is a gem or gym and there are 5 people in there that are guarding it or some crap//.........eggs in incubators/points for poke balls...... this guy was 50 yr driver for dart who went and got an additional sprint phone so he could have all the data to play pokemon..

WTH??????

 

For those who don't know. Pokémon go is a download able app for mobile phones. Utilizes gps and your camera to present animated characters that you can catch "in the real world."

It is developed by a company owned by Google parent company alphabet Inc. The characters are owned by Nintendo, whose market valuation increase by some 8 billion duckets in just a couple of days.

Saw a video the other day on the YouTubes of a guy falling into a lake trying to catch one




Embarrassed to admit it, but my 10 year old son put it on my phone and I play it with him. Don't fully get it, but whatever

Not sure if the world sucks so bad that people are this desperate for escapism and chasing phone cartoons or what.

I mean even I like video games, but this oddly seems to much like a job finding and taking care of fictional monster pets.

 

This new Pokemon game just shows how stupid our Smart-Phone wielding populace is... Thank you but no thank you... If I want to play Pokemon....i'll play it on a Game Boy... the way Mother Nature intended..
