The insurance will not cover an unauthorized person.

My dad was a spotter / city driver and used to take me with him sometimes (early to mid 60s). Cant say I recall ever being out on the street but I spent a lot of time sitting on milk crates in the spotter. Union co in St Paul.

It is in the FMCSA regulations, no one without the COMPANY'S permission and separate insurance on the person.
392.60 Unauthorized persons are not to be transported.
My insurance company will not allow anyone under 17 in my trucks without both parents or guardians in the truck because of safety.RockinChair and tscottme Thank this. -
