Robo broker. The same way Schneider does it.

Computer costs 1/100,000th of what they siphoned off.

Then all the money goes where it should, to the carrier.

    SHOW ME THE MONEY!!!!!!

Shaming is bad. It will hurt people's feelings.

Same thing over and over. The in-ability to sell your services direct for a multitude of reasons. Far easier to blame someone else for your own failures.

Perhaps the brokers can blame it all on those bad people in the other thread about load rates halting their 8 week slide. I'm sure they lay awake at night just obsessing over it like so many others here seem to do.

    I don't feel I'm a failure using brokers.

They save me time. For me it's Quicker to negotiate with a broker than several shippers.

I do have a couple direct shippers that use me 50% of my time. Rest I use brokers to get loads.

Nothing wrong with using them. What's wrong is when some complain that they make too much and pay you too little. Then you should be able to make a better deal with the shipper for more than the broker gives but less than the shipper pays them. That requires work and sales ability. Much easier for many to just complain about it instead.

I never ever ever ever ever ever want a direct shipper and will pay handsomely to not.

I don't even want to see the same shipper or receiver more that once or twice a year! Boring!

    Rickp and Coffey Thank this.

Sounds very structured. Not sure if that works for every industry. We do heavy equipment which lots of times entails fall off loads. Having access to the right equipment or enough equipment or finding people that actually know what they’re doing. I will admit I have no idea how Robo brokering works so no expertise there. But I do know that I like to talk to people, not computers or telephones with nobody on the other end more personal. Press 1 for van press two for reefer on and on then later press 1 for NW press two for Southeast. I like to talk to Bob or Larry people that have known me for 20 years and I know them. Like I said I have nothing against Robo brokering don’t know anything about it, I just like personal relationships when it comes to hauling or delivering loads.

    JimmyTwoTimes and Dave_in_AZ Thank this.
