The real problem is the doublespeak that's pervading the language. Look up the actual definitions to "liberal" and "conservative", and you'll see that they've managed to completely reverse the definitions.
They also need to rename the parties: instead of "republican", it should be "corporatist"; instead of "democrat" it should be "Populist".
Those moves alone would be a great first step. The next step would be forcing those politicians to make lobbyists and payola felonies with automatic 10-year sentences in federal fvkk-you-in-the-### prison; and if they refused, we vote them out immediately; and if they then refuse to leave, we break out our guns and make them do what we want.

What marks a civilized society is the quality of life of EVERYONE in that society. We are supposed to be the most advanced and civilized nation on earth; yet we still have anarchistic dinosaurian thinking like this.
There is more than enough money floating around to make sure each and every working person in this nation has enough income to pay for a clean, warm, and dry dwelling, food, and transportation; and yet, most of that money is concentrated in the upper 2% of the population, and the lower 80-odd% don't have enough to even have enough food, much less anything else--and lets not talk about the true unemployment/underemployment rates.
Most people are perfectly willing to work; but being forced to work 2-3 jobs for 14-16 hours a day just to live in a roach-infested tenement?? That's purely barbaric. Any person making minimum wage should be able to afford the basics of life: food, clothing, shelter, transportation. If they want more than that, then yes, they should work harder doing more difficult jobs; but those not capable of being that IT manager or finance dude or that robber banker still should be able to earn a decent living for themselves.

I agree with this wholeheartedly: and it applies to all jobs and career paths. But those at the bottom have the exact same right to a decent pay and decent way of life as those at the top. The may be paid less; but that pay still should enable them to have a decent place to live, decent food to eat, a warm and dry place to sleep, and all of those safe and secure. In case you haven't noticed, we are slipping faster and faster down that slippery slope back to the early days of the Industrial Revolution, where worker safety was completely ignored, and living wages didn't get you much, including a much-shortened life. And remember that those "industrialists" helped lead us into the Great Depression--which has already been mirrored by the Great Bank R̶i̶p̶o̶f̶f̶ Bailout.
To some extent it's true; but it still allows one to compare the income to the job one left. You just have to put it in the same context as the prior job, i.e. normalized over the time worked in the prior job---for instance, if I made $16 an hour before, that translated to $640 a week; take that $1000 a week you earn in trucking, calculate it over that 40 hours, and you get $25/hr. Yes, the trucking job might take 70 hours to get there, but to get closest to what you made before, you put it in terms that make more sense.
Yep, and those people are being screwed too. And that comes down from on-high within the halls of the ivory tower--and as long as the workers and investors and management people allow this to go on, it won't stop until there is some sort of revolution that changes things significantly; and this has to start in the voting booths.
Unless we actually are victims of some sort of crime (bank bailout) or immoral act ($300 million bonuses for ruining a company; or rampant outsourcing; or rampant abuses of the financial system or a company's finances).Merlin969 Thanks this. -

As long as these jobs keep being gobbled up things will never change. They keep crying "driver shortage" well there are probably 2 times the number of cdl's as there are trucks.....so the shortage...a myth. They just can't find enough people willing to fill the seats.
These people who are coming in as students say trucking is a way of life....sorry...you watched too many episodes of BJ and the Bear....it is a job...a job that keeps you away from everything in your life, for long hours every day. And weeks on end. If you want me to miss my family...PAY FOR THE PRIVILEGE. If you want me to sleep in a 4x8 box every night...PAY FOR THE PRIVILEGE....if you are not willing to pay then don't expect that in the normal course of my duties that I will accept those conditions.
If you told the CEO of any trucking company that he will only get home for for 2 days every 21 days out, and while he is out work 14 hrs a day, then climb into the back seat of his car to sleep, catch a shower every couple of days....how much do you think he would be asking for in the way of pay?Lux Prometheus and blacky Thank this. -
Just wanted to mention that forming 3rd parties has almost never been successful. Almost always reform needs to come from the bottom and from within the parties.
