Not at all. He failed the backing. Kept muttering something about relativity and how it was impossible to be here at this time and place.

I'm hoping I get a good trainer that can teach me how to max out hours and especially recaps. I think I understand how they work but I've read a couple comments from people that said the same thing and once they got on with a trainer they realized they still had a lot to learn. I've learned a lot by reading through this site, the CDL manual etc, but there is no substitute for actually doing it.

No I think last I heard he's working at Euromax Global Transport Solutions Express LLC. I think they're located in Elk Grove Village,IL.

He traded in the chalkboard and microscope for a pair of flip flops and a white Volvo.

When I get a load assignment I like to run as hard as I can and get to the destination as fast as possible and hope they will take me early so I can get on to the next assignment.

But Roehl does everything in their power to prevent you from running hard.

They just don't assign the next load quickly? If I remember correctly, you have only been with them a few months so do you think they are still testing you to make sure you make your appointments on time? And I assume you are pulling a reefer too.

You are basing that off working 365 days a year at 8.75 hrs a day? Who would want to do that? I would prefer to drive 11 hrs a day mixed with the unavoidable load, upload, wait times and then get a 34 for some time off preferably at home.

I am not a OTR driver or even really a driver at all at least it isn't my main job. I own a truck to move my heavy equipment and have my own authority to haul for hire when our main business is slow. When I go on the road hauling for others I try to drive 11 a day and ma h times I hit my 14 before I can but my point is I run hard and get done so I can go home. I would rather drive 600 miles a day for five days and be done with it and have days off vs dragging it out over seven days with no days off.

I guess if you lived in your truck and didn't have a family or anything you wanted to do outside of driving the 8.75 a day option might work better for you.
