I was in that mess north of Dallas, if you are gonna pee in a bottle squirt a teaspoon of dish soap in when it is empty.it wont smell when you open bottle or when you dump it . Don't use laundry soap most have phosphates bad for storm drains/ecosystem.

Yep... hubby got one for me for Christmas one year. We did a lot of off road driving at the time, along with camping with no 'facilities' handy. Awesome gift!

I use the restrooms at rest areas or truckstops. It helps to know how your body deals with what you put in it.
If I drink soda I need to pee alot so on longer trips I drink water and tea. Stuff like bread slows down your digestive process so I eat alot of bread based foods(bear claws, sandwichs, toast) -
I do carry tp but will not ever have a bucket or anything of that nature riding in the truck with me
