Buy a big black and Decker fridge. About $100-120 at Walmart. You'll thank me later. If you have a ProStar you.can put them in the passenger seat. Casdidia mirrors are to low, so no go.

Actually he has had 3 of them, the 2nd one went out before even a couple of weeks went by and he returned it and got the 3rd one. It most likely could of had a new fan put in too, but he didn't have time or the place to get the replacement parts.
It makes you wonder about the workmenship or parts doesn't it. Cheap things and you buy a new one every other whipstich. -
Thx. I will check into that

Appreciate the reply.

Cool guys, seems like coleman is the way to go.

After going thru multiple units of the cooler variety I dropped the coin on a real RV fridge/freezer.
The coolers don't seem to be able to handle the jarring and vibrations of an OTR environment.
They also do not work well in the summer time. Because they only cool to X degrees below ambient temp. (been a long time since I've had one, I don't remember the number)
This means during the warm months your food is not even close to properly chilled.
I'd have a goal of getting a real RV style fridge. It shouldn't take much to get a 12v hook up to run it. -
I paid $69 for my Black and Decker mini fridge. It has a real compressor and I plug it into the inverter that my company orders for our trucks. The inverter has a 1000 watt limit and at compressor start up the draw is only 350 watts. Fits nicely in the cabinet space that originally held the optional Fridge from Volvo which the company removed in all trucks once they burned out.

I think its about 30°F difference. Either way when it gets to about 100+ in the truck, your meat and cheese is at a cool 70°F. I had one (cooler/fridge) and it was great, as long as it stayed cool in the truck. When it got hot everything ruined.

If you have an inverter than spend the couple extra bucks on a fridge.
If you don't or can't have one I'd recommend the Coleman as well. I've had mine over a year and only issues I've had where with the plug getting hot and melting just enough it wouldn't make good contact in the cigarette outlet. It was my fault tho as the plug was being pulled by the cord. After I replaced it I've had no problems.
