If I stop at a port of entry and then see another one for the same state do I have to stop again?

On a recent trip out west I passed I think 3 ports of entry for the same state, Wyoming maybe? Anyway I stopped at the first one and blew passed the other two because I figured it was only for trucks that just entryd the state.

    Just looking for some clarification

    TIA

Any time you pass by any scale you're required to stop if you don't get a bypass or the scale itself tells you to go in.

Each officer at every scale can use his discretion on what you can get away with, just because the first scale decided not to fine you because of X doesn't mean the next one will give you a pass.

Yeah. That makes sense. The officer asked for my cab card but didnt want to see the BOL. he just asked what I was hauling, looked at cab card, wrote something down and said have a good day. Not sure why Id assume I didnt need to stop at the other ones lol.

I understand your thoughts, but not stopping could carry consanguineous to delay you even longer.Put yourself in the officer’s shoes how does he know you already stopped at 1.If you going to Raleigh NC and enter the state from I40 in Tennessee you will come up on 3 weight station b4 you get to Raleigh you better stop at each one

That’s what I do and so do my co workers.

    Right from the wydot site:
    Q. Do I have to stop at all ports in the State of Wyoming?

    A. You are required to stop anytime you see a regulatory sign (black letters on a white background) instructing you to stop, or an officer has directed you to stop. Pre-pass vehicles which receive an in-cab green light may continue, providing they are not hauling livestock or do not have an oversize or overweight load. Example of POE signage:

    • All commercial Vehicles
    • Transport operators
    • Livestock haulers, and
    • Deliveries into Wyoming

    • note that the green exit signs that say where the port of entry’s are are not official white and Balck signs.

I don't stop at any scale if I can avoid it, I know I'm supposed to but if there's a way around it I'll take it.

I'll usually stop somewhere where there might be a lot of trucks to take a break before I go in another direction, I'll look around to see if there's anyone watching me and then take off hoping they lose track of me if they're watching. Nobody can fault me for taking a bathroom break or a rest because I feel too tired to drive 5 miles to the POE.

There's only a few scales that can't be avoided, like CA for example.

I get the weigh stations require you to stop if not cleared but a port of ENTRY has the words ENTRY right in it.
