POSITIVE things about trucking?

To me trucking is not a job, or a career. I didn't say one day I want to be a truck driver. I was born into it. Dad was always a owner op when I was growing up. My vacations were wherever the load was going. I said nope I'm gonna be a farmer when I grow up. Funny how you always come full circle with what you are. I farm and truck as a true independent. And can't think of ever doing anything else.

 

Or you go broke paying all of the lot lizards

 

Easiest and highest paying work I have ever done.
Lot's of opportunity to make changes or make more money.
Lifetime job security.
No boss looking over my shoulder.
Trucking rocks

 

Yes princess I do. I can go anywhere I wish in North America. No one is looking over my shoulder. EVER. Do I have to keep my customers happy, yes I do. But when I feel used or taken advantage of I can and will set things strait.
Happiness for me is a lonely highway, my own hood out front, and a window cracked listening to her purr.

Not much because it is relative to the person.

To me is when I am done for the day, satisfied I did my best servicing the customer who pays me to move something for them.
