yea, you really got that down pat dont you ... did chesty teach you that as she was tucking them back into her shirt .... you have alot to learn and i hope one day you come to your senses ... but one thing is for sure, other newbie drivers that read this posting and see what i am saying may think twice before calling chesty for a quick few day cdl class for 250 bucks ... not everyone thinks like you do and for that i am very greatful .... and your welcome for the input that i know you will ignor cause god knows she who has things popping out of her shirt who THINKS her truck was in 1st gear knows a hell of alot more than someone who been doing this for almost 17yrs , my 18 yr old son took a look at her video , shook his head and walked away saying he hopes nobody would fall for that .... good luck to you !!!!!!

Is this who you're talking about? What is with that hideous pink truck? She's hot though. She could "train" me anytime. :smt055

Lol, I thought it was just "driving a truck" too till i jumped into that seat and had my first experience with the 10 speed. IF, and I mean IF you were to actually get hired on by a company without any formal training, how would you expect to pass the initial road test they typically give to assess your skills? I had 30 hours of 1 on 1 training behind the wheel, and although I do ok, I am still not what I would consider proficient. I applied with several companies just before graduating from school, and the first question I was asked (BY ALL OF THEM) was where I went to school, and how long the program was. I wish you the best of luck man, but you have an uphill battle ahead of you.

As far as my wife knows I was watching this this video strictly for trucking information! Lol, seems to be the consensus that the long expensive tucking school is worth it. I wonder if I could find a school that would let me practice driving with them without having to sit through all the classroom stuff since I already passed the written part? I'm actually only planning to drive a pickup hotshot but I'd like to be able to drive a big rig too just in case opportunities come up there.

Why spend the $$ ? Just go drive the hot shot . You will learn more in the class room than you did in the book for written test . Another guy who knows it all because he read a manual (eye roll )

Doubt it and you should quit trying to take short cuts. Enroll in a CDL school, take the course, and start driving. Do it the right way just not for $5,000. Like I said earlier there are schools in Chi-town that do it for $1,500.

Not sure the OP knows just how true this statement is. Now with that said:

I taught myself how to drive (while working at a moving company), I was so scared to fail I asked NOBODY for help, read entire manual, took every da mn test you could take, passed, week later I had my CDL. Everything's great right?

wrong! Yes I can drive, but the SECOND I tried to apply somewhere else, these companies want to know "where did you go to school at"..... I was lucky enough to BEG my way to road test me, (passed with flying colors) but I'm 1000% positive I'm an exception to the rule.....PLUS NOT TO MENTION THE AMOUNT OF STUFF I REALLY DON'T KNOW. All I'm saying is there are other options than an expensive driving school....but be prepared for possible "speed bumps" for not getting REAL FORMAL TRAINING (not a chick advertising on YOUTUBE with her double d's hanging out how to get a CDL)

SIMPLY PUT: THERE'S WAAAAAAY MORE TO IT THAN JUST DRIVING A TRUCK, main difference between me and you is: I'm FULLY aware of what I missed by not getting formal training, and the importance of it-NOWADAYS (not 20+years ago)

good luck...if you're smart: you'd get your permit yourself with every single endorsement and twic, then get some formal training, and of course: STAYED AWAY FROM THE YOUTUBE CHICK.

    good luck, keep us updated

There are a lot of ways to do it . I hear a lot of guys get it through a company and they pay it all ..Worked great for some not all . The you tube would b good for someone that has a switcher job lined up or a mechanic that they just want a license to move or test truck. Just remember you get what you pay for . I don't know op but i get the sense he really don't want it for the right reasons ..sounds like he is looking for easy $$

Yeah but I've seen that show shipping wars so that makes me a trucker. (In my best Forrest Gump accent) If it makes you feel good to put others down who are trying to figure out a way to accomplish their dreams then good for you i guess, not all of us have a bunch of money and time for what trucking schools are charging. I'm really liking the Chicago guys idea though , maybe go to a more reasonably priced school and sleep in my car.

See that's what i mean a no it all ! If you want to look at it as a put down or are looking to b offended you are in the right business .Or you can open your eyes and read that you don't need to spend a lot of $$ or sleep in your car . But if you don't have time for the training then forget it ..Think about this out of 100 people that get trained for trucking at the end of 3 years MAYBE 10 will still be in trucking .
