Alright before this thread is locked I want to take issue with this right here!

The entire capitalist system, our entire economy functions on supply AND demand.

If you have an over abundance of supply (say Gigli DVDs) that nobody wants you must lower the price until you find an equilibrium for the transaction to occur.

Conversely if there's something you need done and nobody is willing to do it you have to pay more!

Bringing in a labor force with a different standard of living, exempt from applicable taxes, regulations and standards and no enforcement of laws or safety completely undermines the system.

I have been arguing until I'm blue in the face about the stupid klan lately with do-gooder internet SJWs lately who will decry slavery with their dying breath who will then turn around and defend the "right" of a Mexican (or other) to come here illegally, work for less money than they are owed and subjected to modern slavery because these idiots don't think of the entire issue.

To get back to the original post if you can't get your precious Bakersfield strawberries out of the ground for $15/hr (ha!) then $25, $30, $50. Whatever it takes to make economic equilibrium. If you've gotta pay more than $4 per basket then then you do, or you eat chocolate.

He must have turned state's evidence, not only is he getting off death row but this is the first we're hearing of this Pedro Silva Seguara fellow.

Unfortunately this guy is an illegal who might get life in a federal pen. So while it might not be welfare, the taxpayers will contribute $60-$70k per annum for the next 20+ years to feed & shelter this guy (responsibility for trafficking who knows how many illegals and partially responsible for 8 deaths) in a US prison.

Oh, I think that's what they say incarceration costs per inmate with labor, overtime, food, facilities & medical costs.

Prisons make money off of inmates. If it cost tax payers that much, prisons wouldn't be operational.
