1 a month on the average in a large metropolitan area where the deceased were highly intoxicated by alcohol... no need to go to foul play for that. Drunk people do incredibly stupid things.
I wouldnt be surprised if there were foul play of a serial killer nature given how rampant that theme is in many podcasts and entertainment news in the past year though. School shooting publicity tends to bring copycats, a celebrity suicide increases the suicide rate accross the country for the same reason, why would serial killing be any different?Flat Earth Trucker Thanks this. -
People drown in Lady Bird lake all the time. Can’t tell you how many times in the last 25 years since they made it accessible 24 hrs. Drunken slip and falls.
There have been a few were witnesses were to stoned to help and just had to watch someone disappear.Flat Earth Trucker and austinmike Thank this. -
That idaho killer of the college girls is now also being linked to possible open homicides cases... he may also be a serial killer you just never know who someone is!

That’s the thing about cases like this, not only do you have to worry about copycats but the publicity involving such cases can further embolden the perpetrators to take more risks and maybe be even more savage to potential victims.

They did have a serial killer back in the 1800's -
