Possible to start with smaller truck?

Just nervous I guess. I don't really want the responsibility of driving a huge 18 wheeler, looking at some of the pics on here scared the #### out of me too..lol. Like the crashes and ####..I'd feel better if I could start smaller. But there aren't many schools that train and hire new drivers, so I was curious if any of them could start drivers on smaller trucks. I got a list of the schools from here, there's 14 schools on there.

Now thats a picture worth a thousand words LOL...surprised the truck isn't blue though

as far as starting smaller..Panther used to run some straight trucks for partial loads of 13 pallets or less..don't know if they still do. Even met some straight truck owner ops doin it years ago through panther that said they were doing ok..still had to have air brakes and so on but it was there.

Back then it was a pretty good sized division too..
