California law says you are to be paid in full on the spot when fired for all wages due. They are liable for 3 times what they owe you fir every DAY that goes by. Call the California Labor Board and file a claim, and call Dhaliwal dimwits and tell them the same. You can find the code online. BTW, payroll checks are treated the same.

It's a little better but remember, they're not hiring you to do a standup comic routine.

CA seems to be your biggest hinderance. Ever consider moving to the Midwest for a couple years in order to get good experience with a good company that pays enough for you to fly home every couple months?

I would look into K&B's "Road Warrior" program... you can live anywhere, they base you out of their home terminal in Sioux City, IA, 60 days out, then they fly you home for 10 days. 2500 mile minimum guarantee @ 65 cpm ($1625), W4, full benefits available.

Might not be the glamourous way in the door, but its a way to get solid experience under your belt while paying off all the creditors (and your GF).

Pick one that told you yes and roll with it!! Those aren't bad choices....if one sends you home, go to the next one, but try to male sure you're fully vetted before you go to an orientation.

If I could have moved out of this god awful state I would have a long time ago, unfortunately I can't afford it and I just got the surprise a couple of days ago that I have another kid on the way so we won't be able to move anytime soon, lucky me. I'm from Arkansas, moved out here as a kid and if it was up to me I'd move back out that way, probably not Arkansas but somewhere in the Southeast, maybe Louisiana or Mississippi.

So as I suggested, check and see if K&B transportation can help you with their road warrior program. It won't matter where you live, you'll make good money, and hopefully be out of debt in a better position to do something by the time your kid arrives.
