Second rare load requiring cardboard between coils. As I mentioned before, only the bottom row has them which makes it pointless. I've never seen evidence of rubbing after 550 mile trips regardless.

Do these come out with oil on them? I've haul coils in vans on upright racks that were dipped in oil to keep them from rusting. They had us put cardboard down to catch the dripping oil. Sorta worked. Floors would still get an oil treatment.Crusader66 and cke Thank this.

Nope. In fact they sit outside in all weather conditions. Tarps required in the winter only because of road salt.PeteyFixAll, Ruthless, passingthru69 and 5 others Thank this.

Picked coiled wire up many times from keystone in Peoria. They load out of the outdoor yard all the time. Have had several loads where they wanted cardboard between each coil, other times, they say the customer doesn't even care.
Then there's gerdau in Beaumont tx, same thing there. All loaded outside, and really hit or miss on the cardboard requirement.Crusader66 and cke Thank this. -
