This was my third move for the day. Hauled a tractor to the dealer for work first thing, then moved the komatsu 220 long reach to another ditch and finally what we have pictured. It's an old dump trailer that the solid waste department used to use but had been relegated to being a dumpster for the past decade by buildings maintenance department. After getting it loaded I had to stop by the bodyshop to have the 2 police cars loaded in it(pictured). All three were headed to the scrapyard. Got to the scrapyard and I'm told "we're not taking cars right now". After calling my supervisor and sitting for 30 minutes I get told just bring it back to the yard and we'll figure something out Monday. At least I get to make some OT tomorrow digging out a drainage ditch. I work for a city in south Alabama btw. -
Bison driver in a brand new Volvo pulling LCV a-trains (which legally can't be loaded more than 80,000 gross) pulled into the left lane to pass me once the light went green.
I put the hammer down and started grabbing gears. I hit 63 mph when his second trailer's rear tandem got to my steer axle. I've got 66, he's only got 62. I hung him out to dry in the left lane at 134,000 gross. My mind was blown.
Spec'd right in a 389, without emissions garbage, I wouldn't have a problem running one full time. Apparently they go up to 700 hp quite reliably.ReeferOhio and stwik Thank this. -

We used to have a Cornbinder which actually had some cajones, but it had to go bye bye because it wasn't compatible with the ELD we use.stwik Thanks this. -
If it wasn't for my 13 spd I'm not sure my Columbia would do half as well as it does with 47k on the deck. I'm pretty much always on I-81 from SA to Philadelphia every week.
Saw a sweet black w900l with 2 36" step toolboxes with a 525 Cummins, studio sleeper. It was dusty and in the used lot but turned out to be brand new and $163k. I'll keep dreaming. -
