3rd time tarping and got a hole. Picked up some machine type things and threw some moving blankets on top. They are also padded and shrink wrapped in blue so I'm really surprised it happened.

Is the felt really good? I've heard it mentioned here before. Also is there a way for me to get it without paying something crazy like $200 from tri city canvas? I assume 3 pieces is enough 12x15'?

cke and Tug Toy Thank this.

That's why I hat covered loads like that. It obscures any sharp pieces. What I might do is throw a few wraps of duct tape to smooth the edges. Usually works pretty well. That's before the hole of course.

    cke Thanks this.

Some stuff I felt like sharing from the previous year or so :)

I’m pretty sure the third photo up from the bottom with the pipe was my second ever flatbed load. Houston to Pennsylvania. Pretty sure I’m at the TA in Ohio with that photo (the one that now has the bob Evans).

The bottom two photos was a delivery I did in upstate NC... not far from Cherokee and the base of the Smokies. Believe it was Bryson City? Was nice rolling up that hill with a 53’ Everyone coming at me throwing it on the shoulder :D

I have yet to poke a hole in the felt from tri city. Works great.

I unloaded and found another hole in my tarp. Another flatbedder beside me had parachute tarps and didn't get a single hole. They looked nice, I'll consider them some time.

Called tri city canvas about their felt pads. $156 shipping. Absolutely crazy. So for 3 felt pads to cover a whole trailer its $381.

Shipping is probably so high because they are the size of a medium trashcan.
